I would imagine many people have more than one eating disorder at once, I know I have personally battled anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating all at once!

In fact, don't you think that most of the time, these orders go hand in hand? Like, someone who binges is more likely to feel bad about it and then not eat for days on end in hopes of making up for it, or purging, or doing both.

What are your thoughts on this?

I have dealt with different degrees of ED's...I have starved myself for days, only to end up binging...then starving/hours of cardio to make up for the binge...then the cycle continues. There were rare occassions where I would purge too...but that wasnt something I did often.

I think alot of people experience this. It's not uncommon for someone to have starvation patterns and purging as well when they eat, they often go hand in hand. I can't remember the stastic off hand atm.
Myself, I'm a binge-er, haven' done starvation I've tired and then binged by end of day, I've tried to purge as well and I can't.

EDNOS - this is where there are usually a huge pattern of mixing them up.

I was bulimic - never even tried anorexia but my doctor said I was close because my binges became 1 pb&j, 1 biscuit - and I would purge after each one. Anorexics can purge but what they consider a binge is no more than a normal meal for most of us.

The pattern to look at is what is the amount of the binge/ purge episode, is there any other excessive behavior... all these can be answered by a health professional to get the best treatment plan.

I echo this. I had different days with different ED's...
