Does anyone blend up spinach in their protein shakes, and if so, do you have any good recipes?

I've tried blending up spinach in my vanilla protein... and I can't get it down easily. It's that slight after taste that gets me. I've tried adding a banana, and that makes it pretty good, but I generally don't eat bananas that often.

Anybody else trying to get in extra servings of veggies this way?

I used to juice my veggies in with some fruits like strawberries blueberries. I would give it to x hubby he swore up and down he was allergic to every veggie out there so I would juice them into fruit drinks or juice them and inculde in my spagatti sauce. He loved it and no he wasn't really allergic...
Anyway have you tried Strawberries and BBerries. Maybe alittle OJ ? I currently just eat them but if jucing is an optiion or blending them in.

Yeah, I've tried berries... it was a little better, but was also just curious if anyone else out there blends up spinach Maybe it's like an acquired taste, and I'll get used to it if I keep drinking it!

That's a good idea with spagetti sauce. I'm definitely going to try that.

I think it may be a bit of an aquired taste at first.

For me it's all about the shake consistancy. Lots of ice, and a little bit of water - reaaaaal thick.
Toss in about 2 handfuls of spinach. I add extra stevia and psyllium husk to mine. Booty mentioned that she used almond extract in hers. Yet to try that, but maybe an extra dose of vanilla extract would help the cause

Yeah, I'm the same way... the thicker the better... and almond extract is a fabulous idea. I add peppermint flavor to my chocolate protein... don't know what I didn't think of getting almond!
