Hi, this is my first time posting here :-)

How long should you follow a program if you are not seeing results? 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks? I know I need to be patient but am wondering how long I should go before tweaking?

Thanks!

Hey welcome to the boards.

Im NO expert but I'd say give yourself about 2 weeks for diet and about 4 weeks for training and then check and see whats happening.

Good luck.

I would say at least 4 solid weeks following the same diet and training program...Then evaluate based on your goals.

On contest prep I give it two weeks to see if my body is responding.
Off prep usually 3 weeks.

My trainer claims that it takes 14 weeks for your body to adjust to a new diet plan. He says it takes that long for your body to clear out the sugars and do away with cravings. I'm doing my 2nd prep with him right now and both times it has taken me 14 days to see results. ...Hope this helps

Most people make changes too soon due to wanting instant results; here is a very interesting blog to check out:

I saw results within 2 weeks but it was a good 8 weeks before I got solid results...and felt comfortable doing a photo shoot Of course everyone will vary depending on their starting point.
