Question Trouble getting in enough calories

Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off with $20 Purchase.

I always have an issue getting in more then 1200 cals in a day, espically when I work. Any suggestions on how to do it?

This is what I eat in a typical day

m1: 1cup cottage cheese, and an apple
m2 : Salad with half a can of tuna, or a chicken breast. Some grated Cheese, 1tbsp dressing and a couple walnuts
m3: A protein shake
m4: Chicken breasts and veggies...

Any suggestions? I'm not much of a meal planner, I do some picking in between those meals. Im trying to lean up, but I def don't feel I'm eating enough. Suggestins would be awesome.

P.S I try stay away from Carbs, Im hypoglycemic and I find my sugar levels are more maintainable when I'm not eating a lot of them.

Hmmm... that's seems awfully low, seems less than 1200 too.
Try adding in some nut butters, raw nuts, coconut oil..more fats. If you are taking carbs out of the equation then you need to increase your fat intake. You could add some natty pb into your protein shake.

Maybe add another meal in there too...either a full meal of protein and veggies. Or maybe some greek yogurt with some nuts, seeds or berries.

I would eat some berries or fruit too...berries are lower on the gycemic index, they are full of fibre and won't spike your insulin or sugars.

(bolded) Here are a few ideas to bump up the calories in your meals.

I agree with Aly, if you are eating low carb then you need to increase the healthy fats. I would also add another meal in there, some greek yogurt or 'sludge' before bed is a nice treat.

Unless you physically (bloating/lactose intolerant) can't handle it, there is nothing wrong with having dairy. It's a great way to get protein in and even the fats from cheese are a nice topper to a meal
