Question When trying to build muscle, do you rotate your surplus days?

Do many of you throw in some maintenance days or even below maintenance days to keep the fat gain to a minimum or do you just go for straight surplus days when looking to build and worry about shedding what fat you gained at a later time?

Just curious how you approach your muscle-building (hate the word "bulking"!) nutrition

I do cycle my carbs a bit whether leaning or building. (I hate the word bulking too LOL!)
My fats and proteins are consistent each day carbs are lowered (but not 'low') on rest days.

Your body needs a rest day to make progress, so IMO you should eat at maintenance or surplus that way you give you body the proper nutrition to recover and grow...without adequate nutrition you won't make the gains and your body wont recover properly.

How many calories above maintenance do you generally go to see good gains without going into fat overdrive?

I don't count calories, I focus on hitting my macros but when I'm building I'm also a bit more lax on my diet (cheats etc..)
