Question Low Carb Diet question

Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off with $20 Purchase.

I`ve been following a plan where I keep my carbs at 100grams on workout days and around 60 grams on none workout days, for about a week. I`ve cut out any type of grain products, and have been sticking to eating mostly veggies and fruits instead, and have found it helps me control my hypoglycemia better.

However I found lately on my cheat day when I do choose to eat something sugary or high in carbs, I automatically feel really tired...this has never happened to me before, I usually get a huge surge in energy and crash badly later.

My question is, since I`ve been following this plan for a week, is my body perfering to burn fat for fuel now? and is this is the cause of my tiredness after I eat something high in carbs?

I was thinking maybe my body has become insulin insensitive, but that wouldn`t make sense, considering I lift weights about five times a week, and I`m keeping carbs at a minimum, wouldn`t that make me more sensitive?

Default Re: Low Carb Diet question

Sugary carbs and high amounts of carbs will have that effect on you...If you were eating a steady stream of healthy carbs, you most like wouldn't get that effect (unless you have a carb sensitivity).

Also, I know for me..I eat plenty of carbs in my diet but if I were to have a cheat and eat a large amount of carbs in one meal, I would get the tired/crashing effect as well.
