I`ve been following a plan where I keep my carbs at 100grams on workout days and around 60 grams on none workout days, for about a week. I`ve cut out any type of grain products, and have been sticking to eating mostly veggies and fruits instead, and have found it helps me control my hypoglycemia better.
However I found lately on my cheat day when I do choose to eat something sugary or high in carbs, I automatically feel really tired...this has never happened to me before, I usually get a huge surge in energy and crash badly later.
My question is, since I`ve been following this plan for a week, is my body perfering to burn fat for fuel now? and is this is the cause of my tiredness after I eat something high in carbs?
I was thinking maybe my body has become insulin insensitive, but that wouldn`t make sense, considering I lift weights about five times a week, and I`m keeping carbs at a minimum, wouldn`t that make me more sensitive?
