I dont use PB in my diet...yes, I know its good for you BUT I have zero self control and will binge on it so I cannot even have it in my house
I have been using SF syrup for my pancakes and I've been debating on buying the Walden Farms 'Peanut Spread'. I dont want to spend $4 for a jar and hate it, so I have been hesitant about buying it. I want to know if anyone has tried it and what you think about it...is it yummy?? Does it taste anything like PB??
I am thinking I heard the peanut spread was kind of shitty. I think...sorry..I know, not much help...
But I did use the Walden Farms Pancake syrup and loved it!!! I put it on everything suring my contest prep...
I would make my own little ' Lattes' out of it...
coffee
chocolate protein powder and
walden farms pancake syrup...
Then blend with a hand mixer for frothiness..
HEAVEN!
ok that was so off topic..
Have you tried PB2 it is a powder stuff that you add water too and it is suppose to be awesome..
Here is a link:
I have a jar of the WF peanut spread. Save your money!!! The stuff is awful! It is nothing like natural peanut butter. I knew, of course, the texture would be different than PB, but I was certainly not expecting the taste. It was almost sort of chemical and sour. I'm not sure how else to describe it.

I have been using the syrup like its going out of style! I'm prepping and it is a lifesaver...which is why I want to try the PB spread, I'm craving it like crazy so I was hoping it would help.
Thanks for the link...I'll have to check that out!

EEKKK!!! How did you eat it?? Did you mix it with things or just eat it from the jar??

I tried it a few ways:
1) I tried it plain, just so I could get an idea of the flavor.
2) I tried it on an oat pancake (PW). Luckily, I put it only on a small bite. It wasn't any better.
3) Then, I tried it on another bite of oat pancake, this time with WF Chocolate Syrup. It was a bit more edible this way, but still pretty gross. The sourness still came through, even with the chocolate.
If you lived closer, I would gladly give you my jar!!! I'm thinking of feeding it to my squirrels, just to see if they will eat it.
Who knows, maybe it would be good with chocolate casein?
The fitznuts and the PB2 are ok. Texture is good, flavor is not as intense as natty PB. I can't buy these either, cause I will abuse them just like normal PB. At my Whole Foods they sell single serving packets of PB and Natty almond butter...when I need a fix, I just buy one of these. They are PRICEY, but saves me from ingesting 3000 extra PB calories, cause lord knows I could eat the whole damn jar.

I'm with ya Booty...I can (and have) clean a whole jar in one sitting, so thats why I dont buy it...except for comp day!!! I dont think the single serve would work for me...I would buy more than one
I finally bought the WF PB spread and I'm having mixed feelings about it:
1. Straight out of the jar, is not very good...There is zero temptation to clean it out
2. I had a tablespoon mixed with my oats...it was OK, did have a peanutty taste but also very chemical like. I didnt enjoy it as much as just splenda and cinnamon in my oats.
Next...I'm gonna try it mixed with my chocolate casien...I hope its yummy
