Need to get it all out? Here's a place to do it. I'll start.

This morning, I was driving my children to school, when I noticed the person behind me was following so closely that I could not see her headlights in my rear view mirror. We were in a residential area, just a few blocks away from the school. I tapped my brakes, trying to signal her to back off. She did not. I began to slow down so she could pass me. She did not. I continued to slow down as we were approaching the actual school zone.

I dropped off one son, and was going to head home with the other, as he is sick. The lady who had been in the vehicle behind me came and tapped on my window to tell me that I should not drive so slowly because I was going to cause a wreck! Hello! This may be true on the interstate, but I can't think of single time that it is better to go FASTER when there are children present! The sign says speed limit, which means maximum allowable by law, not a speed which I am required to maintain. (I was going about five miles under the posted speed limit. It wasn't like I was doing twelve in fifty-five zone.)

On what planet is an accident my fault when someone rear ends me because they left less than a meter between the back of my vehicle and the front of theirs? I told the woman I slowed down because she was following too closely, and I wanted to minimize the damage to my kids and my vehicle when she hit me. She said again that I was going too slow, and that if she had hit me it would have been my fault! Sorry, but morally, ethically, and last but not least, LEGALLY, it would not have been my fault.

This idiot kept blabbing, so I just rolled up the window and drove away. As we were leaving, my son tells me that this woman is a TEACHER! Oh. My. God. A teacher!?!?!? She of all people should appreciate someone going slowly in a residential area near the school with students milling about all over the place.

What makes this even worse is that two children at this school have died this year alone because they were hit by cars. One of those children was in my son's kindergarten class. And here is this teacher telling me I am driving too slowly around all these children. I was irritated before I found out she was a teacher, but after I found out, I really wanted to knock all her teeth out. Seriously, a teacher? Telling me to drive faster around children? WTF?

WoW I dont know if I wanna post mine...

I hate it when people bring drama from another board (not here). I hate it when people bash other people b/c they are jealous and/or cant achieve what the other person has. I hate it when men bitch and complain about female competitor issues.

Let me know if this was rude or not...

I started an NPC Nationals thread like I did here...
The only post in it was this:

Well, I know you like XXXXX, but when she won her show there wasn't really a whole lot of competition for her. She ended up XXX this weekend which is still a very good placing, but after seeing some of her post and hearing what she has said to other competitors, she needs a reality check. I'm not being rude here, I am being honest. I think if she chilled on the "I'm so great" attitude, she would find out that more people would like her. Just my opinion

What the hell does that have to do w/ who he knew was competing or who he was rooting for? He continues to post/respond and tries to justify why he can post about he said/she said mess.

I know people are entitled to their own opinions but why bring up stuff that has nothing to do w/ the original post.

As I teacher I am concerned about driving thru neighborhoods.
I would have drove off too.

Stuff like that is the reason I dont post much on other boards! I love this place cause there isnt all that drama...I also hate on other boards when a newbie asks a question they get spoken down to like they're an idiot...NO, they are learning...just like we all have at some point!!!

Ya, I had that happen to me a fewtimes and I am DEFINITELY not a newbie. Just some people always have to make others feel stupid. No matter what we know we can always stand to know and learn more. That is what I believe. And we all started somewhere right??

There are some people that think their way is the ONLY way....Sometimes people forget that we are all learning something new every day, nobody knows it all

YES! That is why I have left other boards. Like when you post a question and you get responses with other questions: Why are you doing that? Why aren't you doing this? That's an inferior Blah, don't you know this?!

I also find this true on Facebook. A lot of girls whom I grew up with stopped being 'friends' with my husband and me once I started getting in shape. They also made their husbands/boyfriends stop being our friends. Like it was a competition between us all or something weird.

Firespinner- That is so stupid! I would be shocked, too! At my old school, we had undercovers hidden out everywhere to catch all the morons who sped. Common sense.

********************
My rant- Why does my bathroom sink water get scalding hot the second I turn the faucet on, yet my shower barely gets warm enough to stand in? Ugh.

WOW talk about people insecurities...thats just sad for them.

At work I have to deal with kids and it drives me crazy that people allow their kids to run wild and misbehave...DEMAND a sticker ect...and dont bother to correct/repremand them for their actions. Its quite sad...I feel bad for their teachers that have to deal with them all day.

The unfortunate thing is this happens more often then not...the good kids are few and far between.

Ha, YES. I've always believed if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. Why bother responding to someone's question if you're just going to berate them? If it's a waste of your time, then ignore the thread! Some people just secretly loooooove drama and feeling superior to others.

Firespinner - complain to the school, that's ridiculous, especially after children have been killed by speeding cars!!!

My own rant: I'm working on an MBA with a concentration in accounting. According to my adviser, it's the hardest program offered at my university. I'm also living at home until May, to save money. I work-part time, though my hours are flexible and I usually work from home. Right now I'm taking 6 hours, which is considered full time for a grad student. In the spring I'm going up to 9 hours.

My parents want to sell their home, and I was informed that since I don't really do anything, I can spend the spring getting it ready to sell. I have no problem with helping out...

BUT I DON'T REALLY DO ANYTHING? What the f***!!!???

Oh, good heavens, girl. I am ALL over my kids and I don't care where I am or who sees me. They say 'yes, ma'am, yes, sir' to everyone. If they don't use please or thank you, they don't get anything. Of course, my son is known to push the envelop, but it's just his age. I just don't get why people treat their children like little friends.
