I am gonna get a tattoo...I want one soooo bad and I am gonna get it on the side of my ankle...its gonna be, not large, but not small either...and this is what I wanna get incorporated:
1. The words "Go Hard or Go Home"
2. Some weights (barbell, dumbbells, etc...anything that will work in it)
3. Lily (the flower)---> It means purity and beauty..and is also the flower symbol of my birth month
4. Butterflies ---> They symbolize "change"
I was thinkin of havin someone draw all this up for me who is super creative (cause I have alot of things up there and if its not put together the right way..its gonna make for a confusing and jumbled tattoo..lol)..do you guys know where I could go to have this done??? Dont really know where to start with this...lol..
I use to want a lot:
Olympic rings: cause one day I was hoping to go to the Olympics as a track runner.
elephant: I was hoping to pledge delta one day.
flex with drex: thats me
dumbbells: working out is my lifestyle
something reflecting track: black panther
I only have the black panther...large one on my right thigh (outside)
I will go back and get the DBs and flex w/ drex probably in the "tramp stamp" area
When I went to the tattoo place the orginial panther was a small picture and I was like I want it as big as my hand...OMG it is HUGE...I sumtimes forget I have it...lol
Ive never been your gurly gurl so I never wanted anything to gurlie...but I just found out there are purple lillies..smile
Just go and check out some artists, see if you like their work then ask them to draw something up for you...they can always make changes along the way to fit the idea you are looking for. For a good, talented artist....thats what they do
You can google shops around you and most have their portfoilos online, you may want to look for someone who's either a flower specialist or a word specialist. That being said If you are still in miami the tat convention should be in that area soon, you may want to google tattoo-fest 2010 miami and you should find it.
GL!! BTW Ankle/foot is on of the most painful areas due to nerves being exposed and not covered by fat, but I have to say, if you have a decent pain tolerance yo should be fine,I do and it just felt like some one was giving me a sunburn as they went.

Congrats on your ink. I recently added a new one in Phuket, Thailand. Done in the Thai tradition with bamboo and needles, it took 6.5 hours with two bambooists. It was a tremendous life experience of endurance. I have some pics on my profile page.
My advice to anyone wanting a tattoo is to do your research and remember, it is there forever. I have a half back piece which I love.
Hugs 2 U! Teri
