Madonna/Lady Gaga

I am a HUGE Madonna fan...have been ever since I could stand up, but in my opinion Lady Gaga is over rated.
My brother posted this video on his FB and as a Madonna fan, I found the comparison quite amusing.

Wow, that was interesting. Madonna is a one-of-a-kind original. Lady GaGa is a cheap knock-off version.

Ha! I am not that into music videos, so I haven't paid much attention. Gaga is interesting, but her music sucks. Everyone is so enamored with the fact that she writes her own music. Yeah, creative, disco stick. Her words are simplistic, have absolutely no poetic value and offer little to the intellect.

Madonna was a movement. Not sure if she still represents the same, but she made you feel something, changed your thoughts, and invoked a sense of self.

I saw an interview with Lady GaGa on Larry King and I have to say I was impressed. She really stands up for people to be themselves, and for the end of discrimination against gay/transgendered/bi, etc.
I think she sends a great message to the youth to be who you are and be proud!

I saw that interview too...I appreciate that she uses her fame to stand up for a cause. Very commenable

I love Lady Gaga..she is a guilty pleasure of mine - even if she is a lot like Madonna.
Her music doesn't suck, well that is a matter of opinion. I don't think her music sucks. She is definately not overrated she a GREAT voice, is very creative and is a talented song writer. She has the goods to back herself up. She is not some 'studio created wonder' like Britney Spears who couldn't sing live to save her life.

I just watched the Alejandro video.
Very Madonna -esque (sp?) I have a feeling it was intentional.
With that said, I stand by what I said: Talent and creativity doesn't nor is it overrated.
