I'm thinking of dying my dark, dark brown hair into blond. I want it very light blond, too. I just don't know how to go about doing this with minimal damage. I have long hair, too, so the ends are already pretty dry. Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone has done this before, how, and whether you regretted it or not. Thanks!

I always dye my own hair and have gone from black to bleach blond and everything inbetween...BUT I agree with BB, if you have the extra cash (it can get pricey) then get it done by a professional.

Go to a pro who specializes in blonde. Seriously. She/he will know how light you can go with the color, texture, and health of your hair. Know that regardless, you are going to do some damage. It's the beast of beauty.

Couldn't agree more. Even with having blonde hair I wanted to go all one color of a light blonde. My hairstylest laid it on the table for me.....needless to say I opted not to. Definitely talk to a professional first.
