I have an appointment for a leg/bikini wax this weekend, and I kind of want to get a brazilian because I know I'd love the results, but I keep psyching myself out. I only went once before, for a bikini wax, and the waxer was great; I know she'd do an excellent job...it's just the nerves!

Level with me, ladies - I am very shy about stuff like this; I think it took all of my courage just to do the bikini wax and I still get embarrassed thinking about it - just how awkward is it to do everything???

I think its all individual...I am not shy or uncomforable with that kind of thing, so its no biggie to leg there open wide If you just think about it as her doing her job, than it shouldnt be a big deal.

I agree with what Nic was saying, if you just think of her as a professional doing their job it might help with some of that shyness. You can always just keep going back to the same girl for bikini for a few months then when your somewhat more comfortable with that person then go for the full monty =)

I agree as well, its their job so don't worry. MloveB is right, continue going to the same person and you'll become more comfortable.

I started getting this done last month and love it. The waxer does this for a living. It is no different than going to your GYN in the sense that it is in a private room with a profession who does this everyday. It is fast, so you should only be in there for 30 minutes for the Brazilian. I highly recommend it over the bikini. I say, if you can go bikini, you can def. go Brazilian.

The first time hurt for me... but, not terribly. Just tender. The second time was so easy. No pain at all, and recovery was fast.

Good luck. If you do it you will be so thankful!

Y'all are right. I think I'll just wing it that day and see how I'm feeling about getting the whole thing done. She is famous for her brazilians and was voted best in city - she claims she can do one in under 10 minutes, lol - so I know if I decided to do it, I'd be in good hands.

Thanks, ladies. I'll make sure to report back, haha.
