Hope this is where this question goes. I was wondering if there are any stores where you all have luck getting clothes for a more "fit" physique?
I am 42 (so no 18 year old fashions for me!) but my legs are not stick thin (hello, I squat!), a round butt (hello, I squat!) and a small waist. Plus, short sleeve things are always too tight around the upper arm area (bi and delt area).
Any thoughts? I would rather not have to mail order stuff, though that might be my only choice. Also, FYI, when suggesting stores, I live in the NorthEast (south of Boston).
I am looking for nice, casual clothes, capris, short, etc.
I've seen this question on so many fitness boards hehe
The consistant answer is to get your cloths tailored. I do and I take a few things at once and usually get a discount for it. I pay about 40$ for 3 items.

I wish I could get stuff tailored!
I just opt for stretchier fabric...My favorite jeans are Bullheads or Tilt brand. They fit my hips AND my legs/butt. I have to be selective about shirts too...I can fit comfortably in T's and Tanks but when it comes to dress/work type clothes it get difficult.

Boy, being fit and gorgeous is not easy, is it????
Where do you get those brand of jeans you mentioned?
Ha! That is why I live in tanks and shorts. Of course, you live where it is colder, so that might not be an option. I know that American Eagle has jeans that fit my big ol' booty and legs.
I am the type of girl that when I find something I like, I buy it in every color.
I just saw an episode of "what not to wear" (on TLC) and the person they were dressing up was a body builder. I felt so bad for her cause she just couldnt find clothes to fit her beautiful body and all she wore was spandex (not cute at a parent/teacher conference). The bottom line? Get your clothes tailored. Its expensive and it sucks but its a price I'd be willing to pay for some hard earned muscle

Dresses work well to!
I can relate to that "buying in every color thing!". Thanks for the tip...will check out American Eagle
