Firstly huge thanks for the recommendation to this site!
Just wanted to say hello, I am hoping that I will pick up lots of tips and learn new things!
I am slowly becoming a reformed cardio queen..... would not say I am reformed quite yet...... but I am surprised to admit that I am loving my weights now!!!
My goal is to get in to the best shape that is achievable for me.....
I turned 30 last month, my family is complete so this is for me!!!
I have been a keen runner for around 10 years, love long distance!!!
However I have battled with my shape for as long as I can remember, what more can I do I used to ask myself, whilst banging out sometimes 50 miles a week... I used to shrug off any thought of lifting a weight!!! and just feel confused as to why I still had the dreaded 'wobbly bits'!!!! Grrr!
Well that is the past! I am moving forward with a clear view of knowing that the only way to sculpt is to not be afraid of those weights.... So I am around 7 weeks ish in of being consistent with weights, I still currently do a little too much CV but I am working on it! I have cut it back loads!
I have cleaned up my diet, still not an angel but again getting there!
In fact today I have started with the carb cycling, I have a bit of weight to lose, I am not sure anymore what my ultimate weight will be, I just know that this is not it?
Well that's probably me summed up, so much to learn so exciting times!
Hey KB!! Take it from me, it's a learning process and a lifestyle change that is definitely achievable and maintainable! You'll see in no time how much better you look and feel adding heavy weights into your current routine!!
It's great to see you here! You're definitely in the right place to help you achieve your goals!
It is time for a change, and some how feels so much better to have the support of like minded girls! I have been reading through some posts on here and there is so much encouragement and support it is unreal!
Thats good to hear as running is my passion! So I guess I'll get used to it?
My body is not my passion.... so time to make those changes!
Do you still do any running? I had stopped and replaced it with spinning, but after 10 years I don't want to lose it completely so I have just this week dropped a few spins for 2 x HIIT runs! (No long distance)
Hello there! Welcome to the site; looking forward to seeing you reach your goals!
Thank you so much Oleysya! What a fantastic site and a fabulous following of friendly supportive ladies! Brilliant!
I have just got to step it up a notch!
I used to tell myself I could not achieve the body I wanted after 3 children.....
I should be happy with what I got?
Not soooo, how many fit Mums I have now seen? Fantastic!
