Ok this may sound weird but I know some of you like to experiment so I thought I would share. I think its best on an empty stomach or when you stomach is upset, I especially like it when I'm nauseous.

Hot water
Steep some freshly grated ginger for a few minutes
Add in some fresh grated garlic

After awhile add the following:
olive oil (or coconut oil if you need some extra lubrication help)
cayenne pepper (or paprika kinda works)
freshly squeezed lemon/lime, even try to get some grind in it.

When drinking keep a small spoon in it so you can stir it up as you sip. I know it sounds weird, and it may even taste weird at first but you'll get used to it especially when it tingles in your stomach.

I know I know Booty-to-the-3rd. It sounds, but really I just had some and my stomach settled down a bit. I tried this years ago and it took me a few tests to find what works.

Ok I probably can't convince anyone about the garlic part but the other ingredients are pretty good for the stomach but don't take my word for it (see below).

Ya know, I might just try that. Like with cold pasta, add in some parsley. I might have to cook or roast the garlic tho.

Lol; when I have a throat bug I make a garlic broth (water + garlic, boil, salt, done) and eat the garlic in it all hardcore-like. It's not bad (but then my Italian genes give me the ability to consume large amounts of garlic without flinching) and alleviates my sore throat like a charm, and I'm convinced keeps it from getting any worse. So I totally believe your drink works!

I have this whenever I'm sick!! I use TONS of ginger, TONS of lemon, and as much cayenne as I can handle...tastes like absolute crap, but it clears my system in 2 days

I must have some Italian in me too, somewhere haha. I just love oil roasted garlic, the garlic comes out so sweet & succulent.

I actually got used to the taste after awhile. But I used to not like mint tea until I found out it settles my stomach as well.
