Does anyone have a good recipe for making a spaghetti or marinara sauce. I made some spagehetti squash last night and used a jar sauce but would prefer to make my own.

I have a homemade one it takes a while to get good flavor on a homemade sauce;
everything is pretty much to taste

Plum tomatoes (peel them you do this by cutting slits, not too deep, in them boiling them for a few moments and shocking them under cold water, then you can just pull the skins off)
Garlic (sauté before you put tomatoes in)
Onions (sauté before you put tomatoes in)
Peppers (optional)(sauté before you put tomatoes in)
After everything is put into pan together
alittle more garlic
Oregano
Basil (I only use alittle bit because I don’t like basil)
Parsley (Lots)
Garlic powder , onion powder
cook for about 2 hours and skimming the foam off the top
Taste add more seasions and some balsamic vinegar and some honey about a tablespoon so make it alittle sweet
Cook for about another hour skimming the top taste add any necessary seasoning and a pinch of sea salt and serve

Here is a decent marinara recp.

Your welcome. I used to make a butt load of it and can it in mason jars. i cooking, I haven't cooked the same though in a while. I used to be a house wife but when I started working it's hard to find time to do all the things I used to. But I am slowly making time for it. Also, since seperating from my ex he kept all the awesome cooking stuff I had so i am lacking things as well. So hopefully I'll get alot of those things back with the wedding registry hehe
If not we'll finish out our registry ourselves.

Amen to that!! I love to make the fresh pasta too. I haven't done that in a while though I'd prob lost my touch with that. The one thing it did have was WW pasta that was home made... LOL!!!
