3 carb wheat bran pancakes...yummy!!!

Ok...so R2D2 thread "oat pancakes" inspired me...i wanted some pancakes, but low carb. So here it is:

1/4 cup unprocessed wheat bran..I am in love with this stuff
2tbsp flaxseed meal
1/2 cup egg whites...about 3
stevia
cinnamon
waldon farms syrup

I just mixed everything but the syrup in a bowl and cooked like a pancake..then topped with spray butter and the syrup...OMG...so yummy.

150 cal
17 gram protien
3 carbs
4.5 grams fat

How many pancakes does this make? Do they come out cakey like pancakes? Or are they grainy? I'd like to try a low carb option - I eat oat bran pancakes daily.

carolf...this makes one pancake...it is plenty filling for one person. It is cakey, like a regular pancake. If you havent tried the walden farms sugar free, calorie free syrup, you should go get some...it is fantastic.

Booty...Why didnt someone tell me about wheat bran sooner...it is yummy and oh so low carb. I feel like I am eating carbs.

I haven't made anything else with it yet...but am going to attempt to make bread with it...maybe muffins, with nuts and cinnamon....the sky is the limit now!!!
