1 lb Lean ground beef (can use lean ground chicken or turkey too), one egg, some onion soup mix for flavour (optional), some pepper and garlic powder... mix together and broil or put on bbq! Use a broiled portabello mushroom cap for buns with a broiled tomato slice and some oregano...That is it!

Kitti I you! I love that Idea. I would have never thought to do that. Grind up my own meat... I love being back on the boards... Just makes my life so much easier...

Kitti - can I use a blender to process the meat? I don't own a processor...

It depends on your blender. Most basic blenders aren't going to do the job.

hmm, maybe just chop it up really fine and then chill it in some clingfilm so it forms a solid patty?

Ahh. alright. I'm so going to get a food processor one of these days!
Maybe chopping will work, though.
