Volunteer work, food drives, toy drives etc. are being tossed out of schools in favor of state testing prep. and I feel kids these days are losing the ability to care for and about others....
Just my two cents....

Oooh I love this idea. I have been looking for a food bank or something like you mentioned near by cause I wanted to volunteer but your right he should come. Just because its the right thing to do.
The thing with Aaron is that he may be jerky with his teachers but when it comes to life situations he's not like that. My son is the kid who will stick up for another kid who's getting picked on in school. Or he's the one to dig in his pocket to give a dollar to help someone out. He cried to me the other day cause he was telling me that he remembers where we came from and he knows if I didnt marry my husband we wouldnt be living the life he has now and that he does appreciate it and us and that he would try harder. So hopefully he was being sincere and he will shape up. I do have a meeting with all his teachers, the guidance counselor and his coach on Tuesday. Im hoping we can all work together to get to the same goal... Him passing.
