I am single, but my ex is an extreme saboteur. I don't think I could date someone who is not at least into the basics of health and fitness. To me, how well you take care of your self is in direct proportion to your self worth. I want to be with someone who loves and cares for themselves. Also, I don't ever again want the experience of someone dragging me down low because they feel so low themselves. Life is too short.

I have been with my BF long before I got into the gym....he lives on junk food and gets zero activity. But I was the same way for years, so as much as I wish he shared my passion...I cant hate on him, I changed he didnt.

There is no doubt that my 'type' has changed...If I was single, I would look for someone that was into fitness and could share my journey with me. My BF is SUPER supportive of everything I do...but its not his thing.

My Fiance is not fit he is overweight by about 50 pounds and has lost 80 since we've been together, by HIS choice. I loved him the way he was and still do. He is a cookie/sweets monster. However, is extremely supportive of my goals to compete in figure even bb if I wanted to ( i dont). He doesn't sabatoage me but doesn't say things like should you be eating that... He would if I asked.

Completely agree! That is why it is difficult for me as my hubby used to be into staying fit. He was a competitive runner. He retired 3 years ago and it has all gone down hill from there. He has put on 20 pounds! It kills me cuz he used to be so active and in great shape and that was when he worked 10 hour days! Now he has all the time in the world and doesn't do shit!

I'm single, but I think it's ironic that my ex and I both started working out after we broke up. Maybe it helped to have a physical outlet! At any rate, he's gained about 30 pounds of muscle in the last year and a half - I am proud of him for working so hard! We're talking about getting back together, and we've worked out a few times together. It's nice to have a partner.
