Never done a shoot

I never thought I would want to do a photo shoot, but after this weekend's comp I'm starting to think I might want to do one! I guess I've come to like the way I look right now and I want to have something that shows it off. I have no clue how to find a photographer. I sort of want to do something sexy, so that makes me very nervous about hiring just anyone. How did you find someone you trust, and how do you manage not to pay an arm and a leg? Tall order, I know.

Some do TFCD (FREE)...
I always look at their profile of pictures and if someone jumps out @ me. I post on the pic or their page, telling them Im interested.
Ive done over 20 shoots...Ive paid for maybe 5...
