I use both CEE and Mono, I read a very interesting article about the benfits of both also read some informaton that CEE is no better than mono, I don't rememeber where it was thought I didn't save that one. I guess same as anything you can find information to support both sides of the coin.
However, I use both my drink that I have during my training has CEE in it and post workout I have my 5 grams of mono together I get about 8 grams of creatine.
Also, about the water retention you mentioned that varies from person to person also some people get used to it after a couple weeks of taking it and no longer bloat.
