This is a discussion on Protein Powder within the Supplements forums,----- I don't know where to put this... maybe start a supplements section?
I am totally burned out on GNCs protein ...
I like international protein- banana flavor.
I am not a big dymatize fan, the powders too fine and lacks intense flavour
Lately with my international protein I have also been mixing 1/2 scoop chocolate and 1/2 scoop banana- to get a nice choc narnie flava
Optimum Gold Standard in chocolate and vanilla..both good
Muscle gauge....it's all okay. The only one I really like is cinnamon bun. The cake batter isn't too good. Chocolate isn't strong enough flavor for me.
You can get Designer Whey (2lbs) for $17 and change on luckyvitamin.com. Is that expensive? I tried the BSN lean desert but didnt like it much.
No, that's pretty average, assuming that includes shipping.
I bought mine from GNC/Vitamin World.
Really, I buy GNC brand from the stores... waiting until their gold card week when theyve usually got buy one get one half off. (5lbs normal price is about $55... Ends up $70 for 10lbs with tax).
I've also heard good things about Optimum (also carried at GNC) but Ive never tried the regular whey. I did try their casein and it was nasty, but I would guess casein just has a different taste lol
I like ON 100% Whey...all the flavors are good.
I just recently bought VPX Zero Carb Graham Cracker flavor. It's really good...kind expensive though.
For Ready to Drink's, I like Muscle Milk Light. The best price is at Costco.
A case of 24 is $28.99
Isopure tastes just ok.
I really loved the Cake Batter and chocolate from Muscle Gauge...not so much the strawberry or vanilla.
I don't really like ON gold standard.
Dymatize has a funny aftertaste to me.
I was on ON Gold 100% Whey for years. Tried all the flavors and all were just kind of blah for me except Mocha Cappuccino. BUT, I grew an intolerance, so anything but pure iso hurts my tummy now. I get bloated, and it's just not fun.
With that being said...
Isoflex is pretty damn good, mixes easily, and the vanilla is delish. I usually hate vanilla but this one kinda reminds me of a vanilla milk shake, even mixed with water. AND, no tummy bloat or digestion isues, yay!
I've had very good results with Isopure as well, but it's a bit pricy depending on where you get it.
I just read about Muscle Gauge Pure Isolate and am dying to try it! I've heard good things about the Cinnamon Bun flavor so that's on my next order. It's also very nicely priced so that's a bonus. I will report back once I get it =)
I really like BSN's Lean Dessert. I have tried the Banana Nut Bread and the Whipped Vanilla Cream. Plus, you can get it for under $15 for a 1.5 pound container on ALLSTARHEALTH.COM!

Lean Dessert is good. I like the Cinnamon Roll and Banana Nut Bread flavors in my oatmeal. Yum!
