Favorite brand of protein powder???

Hi guys, I'm getting ready to order some protein powder and I'm looking for some suggestions. I've only used the BSN syntha-6 chocolate peanut butter (yum) and the Body Fortress brand at Wal-Mart (not so yum, but tolerable). I can't decide if I'm ordering the BSN again because the calories and carbs are higher and the protein lower than the Body Fortress (all I have to compare it to). So please, please pass along some suggestions! I want something yummy that isn't crazy high in cals, has a nice amt of protein and won't break the bank. Thanks!!

Have you tried the Cytosport Muscle Milk brand? Those are really good or if you like fruity tasting, try the Syntrax Nectar. SO SO GOOD!! The apple flavor is really good and it has only 90 calories, 23 grams protein and ZERO sugar.

Sweetpeach--have you tried the fuzzy navel in the syntrax nectar? That sounds yummy. I think I'm gonna try it.

I'm also gonna get the allmax in choc pb I think. Making me hungry....

I've always wanted to try Dymatize and the Isofelx but does anyone know where to get samples?

Oh and that snytra sounds awesome anywhere to get samples of that?

Actually I haven't tried that flavor but I did hear from a friend that is was good!!

Im not sure where you can get samples. I usually just order mine off bodybuilding.com. I wish I could find some samples though cause I would love to try the other flavors.

Right now I'm loving my "optimum nutrition" protein powder. =D I have 'mocha cappuccino' and 'extreme milk chocolate'. I la la la love them both! My friend ordered 'mint chocolate' and thinks its great tasting. I can't wait to order some more. Great price at bodybuilding.com 5lbs tub for 42.99 I think it was..

I have tried Isoflex pp...and personally think its overrated a little bit. But if yu really like a pb pp, the Isoflex one is really good compared some out there. =)

Ditto! If I buy protein, I want to buy the larger sizes but I sure as heck don't wanna spend $50-$60 on 5lbs of something that I end up hating.

Personally, i don't like Muscle Milk very much. It's too sweet, too chemical most of the time.

I really like most of GNC's flavors. But vanilla was nasty. EAS makes a good (and affordable) vanilla though their chocolate wasnt so great. So far, ON's Double Rich Chocolate and Vanilla Icecream are fine, though not my favorites.

Designer Whey Vanilla is good as well, havent tried any other flavors from that brand.

Metabolic Drive Low Carb Strawberry is pretty good. Chocolate is so-so, vanilla was okay. Banana was great, but I got sick of it after awhile.

I use Optimum Nutrition and Dymatize. I stick to the the chocolate flavors. I find the vanilla to be very bland.

The Vitamin Shoppe seems to have the best price on both.

A good place to look for trial packs is always the manufacturer's website. Their trial pack might not just be one flavor but will be several of their flavors.... but it's better to spend $10 rather than waste money on something you hate.
