Default Beta Alanine dosing

So there are lots of tidbits about it going around and I finally picked some up yesterday.
What is the dosage most of you take? I find info that seems the dosage on the bottle is a bit low.
Also was told to do a loading the first week...is that really necessary?
Who takes it on their days off? I was told to do that as well...not sure that is really necessary either.

I have been taking Beta Alanine for about 3 months now and I love it. Every things I read says to take about 2-3g pre and post workout. I just take 2g..anymore than that then I get that flushed feeling. I do take one serving on my off days after my lunch. Im not sure if its really necessary, but I have read everywhere to do it, so thats what I do..lol

The loading period is to help prevent the tingles. Some like it some don't. I do and Nic does. It really is individual however as sensitivity varies. I take a 1/2 does on my days off, you still receive the benefits from it, you just receive further benefit while training. It's an non-essential amino and is still used by your body when not training.

6-8 grams spread before and after training is what I have read from serval trainers on Souix with the science to back it up. I love taking it I have been taking about 6 grams a day 3 in the am and 3 prior to training. I also sip a drink during workout that contains abut another gram of BA.

I'm with Mlove! I take 6g pre and 2 post workout....but some of my supplements already have some in it, so I probably get almost 10g a day. I love the itchy/tingly feeling...but it does lessen as your body gets used to it. I also take it on my rest days...only about 3g.

Thanks girls. I think I will start slow and move up...I don't know if I want that itchy/tingly thing.
Anyway..if it works I am gonna be happy!

My coach has me taking 1g at breakfast, 1g preWO, and 1g postWO! Seems low compared to what others have said, but it works for me
