I am having a hard time with this too. Right now I have only two active rest days (where I do Yoga). I tried to have a total rest day, but it drove me crazy everytime I walked past my gym room..lol. I know we are supposed to rest for recovery, but I have never been too solid on how much. Im with you girl..Im confused too..lol

Yeah I know! I always feel like crap if I don't do SOMETHING on my rest days...even if it's just going for walk, or doing pilates or something!

I've had low energy levels lately, but I don't think it's a lack of rest, because I do get plenty of that...I think I might be anemic, but even that's a different story. For now I just need to figure out my rest days first...

Yep..I know EXACTLY how you feel. About that anemia thing, I have a slight case of that. The doctors told me to take extra Iron. Some days when I forget to take it, I bruise REALLY easily and I get tired often..even when Im all pumped up in my mind..lol..its like my mind and muscles aren't connecting..hahah..

I think I might try that 2 rest days/week like kkkrrr..we will see how that works..i bet you imma wake up in downward facing dog cuz i will be thinking about yoga so much..lol

My split is a 4-on 1-off split, but sometimes my schedule doesnt always allow that so I at least try to take a complete rest day every 5 days or so. Rest is a very important part of training so as much as I hate taking days off, I know its necessary.

As I get closer to show time, I dont have any total rest days...not lifting days I will do some extra cardio.

I usually do 1-2 depending on schedule & how hard I worked out during the week. Altho sometimes I've had to take off an extra one as I'm always popping things out of place & need to see a physical therapist. I then just do some foam rolling, maybe some yoga moves, or a walk.

Right now I am 2 days on 1 day COMPLETE rest with my FB workouts. And I need those rest days! I do HIIT 3x a week but vary the days I do that.

I have only one total rest day a week. The other two are high or low to medium intensity cardio, all only for about 20 minutes max.
