So....I suck at push ups. I can barely do 10 at a time from my knees. Today, my trainer showed my that I was doing them all wrong, and I can barely do 3 from my knees. Is there anything I can do to get better at them, or is the answer to simply do them more? My first goal is to do 25 from my feet. It seems like a really long way to go from 3 on my knees. Thanks in advance.

Push-ups are not my strong point, but I built them up by doing them elevated (hand on a step or smith)...eventually, I moved to the floor.

Practice makes perfect...Just keep doing them and slowly you'll add a rep, then you'll be banging them out!

I agree with Nicole...push-ups are just one of those exercises that you just have to keep doing to get better at. I noticed once I incorporated more chest exercises in my training I was able to do more and more push-ups. (I mainly just do push-ups and incline chest presses on my chest day..but sometimes I do the chest press machine to get something different..or some flat bench pressing).

It will get there...and soon you will be knockin out 50 push-ups (NOT on your knees )
